Sepultaria sumneriana (Cooke) Massee. Zedern-Erdbecherling. Cup 4–7cm across, initially a hollow sphere just below the soil surface later breaking through and splitting into several recurring lobes exposing the pale yellowish interior, exterior brownish, densely covered in dark hairs. Flesh thick and brittle, white. Asci 350µ long. Spores ellipsoid-fusiform containing two large oil drops, 30–37 x 14 x 16µ. Habitat under cedars. Season winter to late spring. Occasional. Not edible. Found In Europe.
